BACKGROUND & ORGANISATION
The Cayman Flying Club is a non-profit, limited local company founded in February of 1994, dedicated to the preservation and promotion of General Aviation in the Cayman Islands. Other important purposes of the Club are: to provide well equipped, professionally maintained aircraft at the lowest reasonable cost for use by Club members and to provide ample opportunity for training development of members proficiency and safety skills in all aspects of flying.
The Cayman Flying Club at present operates one Cessna 172 aircraft for use by its members on an hourly basis. Future plans include acquisition of a high performance single and a light twin. Specific information on Club aircraft is available under our aircraft tab.
The Club is operated in accordance with established Bye-Laws and Operation Rules approved by its membership and is governed by an annually elected Board of Directors composed of a President, Secretary, Treasurer, Maintenance Officer and Chief Pilot. Special committees such as safety boards are appointed by the Board of Directors to further the purpose of the club. All full flying members of the Club have equal voting rights.
Aircraft may be used for business or pleasure but not for commercial purposes.
